Emergency Medicine/Critical Care

Internal Medicine
Ultrasound with internal medicine consultation. Endoscopy (for diagnosis of gastrointestinal disease, gastric foreign body retrieval, endoscopic biopsies). Liver biopsies with interpretation and treatment. Diagnosis and treatment of complex medical conditions such as diabetes, immune mediated diseases (IMHA, ITP, IBD, IMPA), renal/kidney diseases, liver/gall bladder diseases, and much more. Our Boarded Internist has direct involvement with medical management of our hospitalized patients providing expertise on the vast majority of pets hospitalizied by COVE Emergency Veterinarians.
Ophthalmology
Cataract surgery with lens replacement, keratectomy, conjunctival graft, cherry eye, entropion, eyelid mass removal, laser glaucoma surgery, melanoma laser and removal, ocular oncology, corpora nigra cyst ablation, laser retinopexy, enucleation, intraocular prosthesis, ciliary body ablation, orbital disease, and more.
Radiology
Advanced ultrasonography, outpatient ultrasound (can be utilized by primary veterinarians that just want the images and nothing additional), Board Certified Radiologist interprets all radiographs taken by our emergency department and select radiographs from our specialty departments.
