Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) – Urgent Care

This position is a great way to join us in facilitating another option for emergency treatment and surgical options for pets and their owners in Central Ohio. Courteous professionals and gold standard treatment protocols are a must. We work with some of the best veterinary professionals in Ohio.

  • A prospective candidate must be confident their technical skills and have availability to work evenings and weekends. COVE is looking for team members who are self-driven, competent in basic patient assessment, efficient in their patient care abilities, work well with other close-knit team members, are able to perform skills such as IV catheter placement; assisting doctors in calculating and maintain CRI’s, drug and fluid administration, taking X-Rays, assessing and recording vital signs in critical patients, following a treatment plan to provide care for hospitalized patients, cleaning and bandaging wounds, applying casts, drawing blood, running lab machines and prepping and assisting with surgery. A candidate can also expect to sterilize surgical instruments and equipment, maintain case files, comfort pet owners and tend to patient husbandry needs.

CVT, RVT, LVT – Associate’s or bachelor’s degree from an AVMA accredited Veterinary Technology program is required.
